Take a drive in the history with our full day tour of the ancient city of Pompeii and Herculaneum! Our driver will pick you up from your hotel lobby or at the exit of your cruise ship and comfortably drive you to pompeii in a Mercedes van. The iconic Pomepeii is one of the most historical best preserved places in Italy and the world, with a lot of amasingly-well conserved monuments, such as the Forum or the beautiful Amphiteather, where the gladiators games were hosted; basically the partenopean Colosseum! What makes Pompeii unique is the fact that the eruption of the Vesuvius that took place in 79 AD trapped dozens of people in the positions they were when the ash arrived in the city; a unique show available in no other place in the world! Another city touched by the eruption was Herculaneum, mostly destroyed by the Vesuvius as well; here you will admire one of the best well preserved Roman bath systems in the world, a masterpiece for its time. Herculaneum is also home of many of the ancient houses, full of history and precious testimonies, such as the house of Aristides or the Sacello degli Augustali. Here you can deligth your eyes with a lot of frescoes, in particular the most famous one showing Hercules in Olympus with Juno and Minerva. This tour will slowly take you back in time!
